Faith in Christ

Am I enough? Will God accept me if I sin and fall short? What if I keep messing up?

The truth is, God already accepted us when Jesus died on the cross for our sins. “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

He knew you before the creation of the world. He knows who you are and where you came from. He knows your weaknesses and your strengths. “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.” (Jeremiah 1:5)

Scripture tells us that His strength is made perfect in our weakness. “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

The Bible also says that whoever comes to Him, He will never turn away. “Whoever comes to Me I will never cast out.” (John 6:37)

Jesus will never reject you. He accepts you as you are. When you truly begin to follow Him and trust Him, transformation begins to happen, not into a completely different person, but into the person you were always meant to be. “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

So no, God does not turn you away because you are flawed. He already accepted you. You just have to trust Him with your flaws, your weaknesses, and your pain. It’s easier said than done, and sometimes it’s hard to believe, but He truly is the Good Shepherd. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” (John 10:11)

Prayer for Your Doubt

Dear Heavenly Father,
There are times when I feel confused, discouraged, and doubtful of Your goodness. Sometimes I want things my own way. Lord, I ask that You show me mercy and grace. Prepare my heart for all that You have for me. When I feel weak, remind me that Your grace is sufficient for me. And when I feel like giving up, please continue to hold on to me.

Amen.

Words of encouragement from your sister in Christ,
Shianna 🤍
